Welcome to the CJC Costs Answerbank. Your opportunity to join the costs debate.

The Answerbank message board facility will allow you to contribute to the development of costs solutions, share your views on costs, or just keep up to date with the current debate. You may use this facility to communicate directly with key Council members, and with other interested parties who have left messages.

Following the successful Costs Forum in November last year, the CJC have set up a group called the Big Tent to look in detail at a practical way of taking costs issues forward.

Five working groups within the Big Tent are currently developing recoverable costs models. Additional models have been prepared by members to demonstrate costs capping and benchmarking options.

You can see all the papers submitted to the Big Tent and some of the papers that were prepared for the Costs Forum, together with the proposals from the syndicate groups.

You can read other relevant papers and media articles published recently, and you can post questions and chat with other interested parties. If you want to contribute a paper of your own you will need to Email it to us at: cjc@courtservice.gov.uk. We will post it on the Answerbank, if we feel it will further the debate and subject to any amendments we feel necessary, and invite others views.
